Tekken: Blood Vengeance Teaser Trailer

A feature-length CG anime based off the fighting game franchise Tekken, titled “Tekken: Blood Vengeance”, is set to hit 3D theaters in Japan this summer, Bandai Namco Games recently announced.

The film is being produced by Digital Frontier (Appleseed, Resident Evil: Degeneration) and is being directed by notable CG video game animator, Youichi Mouri. Primary video game producer of all Tekken games, Yoshinari Mizushima, will be main producer of the film, and the script is being penned by Dai Sato (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo).

This will either blow hard or be all kinds of epic and only time will tell. I’m not keen on the idea of it coming to a “3D Theatre” as I’m still not convinced/impressed by 3D films on the whole but we’ll see how this turns out. Many live-action 3D annoy me because of the forced yet unnecessary 3D scenes and to me it still seems like a gimmick.. Very cheap, but this is not a 3D rant it’s an “OMG NEW TEKKEN ANIME BY YOUICHI MOURI” post and yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing how it pans out (:
